Review:
Harrison Ford presents
the kind of American President that we need, one willing to stand up
and defend what's most important and damn the consequences. This is a
hard line action adventure trapped inside the massive 747 that is Air
Force One. Gary Oldman gives a perfectly cold performance as the leader
of the terrorist group, he manages to bring across the hard hearted,
cold, evil mind set that drives men of that ilk. Ford plays the
President here, but he shows the side of the most powerful man in the
world that reminds us that he's just a man, and you don't threaten a
real man's family without facing off. It's amazing how much story can
be packed into a limits space, but so many stories seem to be doing it
quite a bit. This is a fine example of an action adventure and it hits
home in these days past 9-11. This one came out before that date, but
it seems a timely story. The terrorists are Russian Neo-nationalists,
who seek the freedom of their party leader and the resumption of their
hate filled ways. The violence is realistic, and the language isn't
overdone, so it's not all that bad for an R rating, but you should pay
attention to your family limits. My family liked it a lot and it is a
great show for the cravings of action and adventure.
