Review:
Not a bad remake of
this one, it is, of course, quite predictable, but still entertaining.
Quaid plays a coast guard Admiral on the fast track to his dream job
running the entire coast guard, at the cost of hauling his eight kids
from post to post . Russo plays the bohemian artistic mom who has ten
kids living in seeming chaos as she encourages free expression and
creativity. The two are reunited at a high school reunion and pick up
their romance where it was left off. That night they get
married.

Now
the real fun begins as two polar opposite families are now combined to
form one cohesive, loving well oiled unit. YEA RIGHT! All the
predictable friction and chaos ensue, but it's still fun and worth a
peek with the family. Only a little mild language earned this
a PG, so
it's probably nothing your kids haven't heard you say when they
painted the cat pink, or shaved the dog. For the kids who don't know
the story this will be a new adventure, and for those who do know it,
it's just a bit of fun.
Plot: He's
a Naval Officer, dedicated to service and discipline. She's an artistic
Free spirit. Their kids mirror them, so how can two radically divergent
family types become a single harmonious family? Not easily, thats for
certain!
