Review: A wonderful
rendition of the beloved book, Polar Express draws you in and lets you
remember your own childhood wonder of the magical holiday. Tom hanks
not only lent his voice to FIVE of the characters, he apparently
modeled the digital characters. I recomend this one not only for the
DVD shelf, but also for the book shelf because your tykes will probably
enjoy the story come Christmas time and never forget that reading to
your kids is the best sort of bonding.
I personally think the actual animation has a long way to go in
cartoons, but i also think it has come a very long way too. The
characters seem a bit stiff, but perfectly beleivable if you can look
around that small fact. Hopefuly more computer generated movies will be
made, even though i still like an old fashioned hand drawn 'toon.
Get this one and add it to the stockings of friends and family, it's a
new classic and well deserved of that title.
