Ultraviolet
Title: Ultraviolet
Rating: PG-13
Rating Content: Violence, Language, Brief Nudity
Review: Ultraviolet is yet another in a long line of Comic Book heroes turned big screen draws. The effects are spectacular in this film, but the computer enhancements of color and airbrushing go a little far, almost to distraction. Outside that, the story is a nice distraction and a worthy attempt. Many of the action sequences seem a little far fetched, but that makes it all the more fun I think. Being a comic buff from an early age, i still didn't get to read much of the story of Ultraviolet, but I know there is a lot to pack into one film, so they hit most of the key elements and made it a probable stand alone film destined to lack a sequel. Rear nudity of Jovonvich, minimal language and a ton of action violence with little blood give this one a PG-13. Not a lot to be concerned with for the older kids in the double digits i think.
Don't wait. Guarantee your seat before you go and avoid a sold out show. Skip the box office lines and buy movie tickets at Fandango.com

Plot: Ultraviolet is a Hemophage, a vampire, but not like anything we think of as a Vampire. Infected by chance, she and those like her are shunned and hunted to the brink of existence. Given the task of securing a secret weapon, she discovers that it is in actuality the secret to the cure for the disease she is infected with. Can she protect the boy who carries the key, while trying to unlock it's secrets?
