Review: Well done!
An inspiring story that goes to show that real life can be far more
interesting than fiction. Another brilliant thing about this film is
how they prove that an action adventure film does not need sex,
gratuitous violence and language to be good. This film is nothing short
of inspiring and heart warming. It deals with the hard sacrifices that
must be made in life, and the harsh reality that often results from
them. Brilliant scenery, wonderful animal actors, and pretty darn good
human ones make this a sure family hit. Some scenes are a bit much for
the tykes, such as the deaths of some of the dogs, a leopard seal
attack, and the half devoured carcass of a Killer Whale. Some the
smaller kids in the sneak preview had a hard time handling the sad
parts, and one scene had me half forming exactly what was going to
happen when it did, showering the person behind me in my sunflower
seeds. Not action packed, this one slides through the time by not
wasting any of the almost two hours. It dives right in and keeps moving
as it takes you on a sled ride of emotions. A scary seal attack and
very mild language should not stop anyone with kids who like animal
adventures from seeing this one.
Don't wait.
